used Seiko Vintage Automatic Chronograph 6139-7101
excellent working condition
All original and in fantastic condition, this relatively rare Seiko 6139-7101 is a vintage watch, that has a modern feel. At 40mm wide, 49mm long and 15mm thick it is quite are large size for a vintage watch, the case is spotless with it original machine finsh on the case, and mirror polish finish on the bezel. There are a couple of light marks on the case, but nothing major. The dial and hands are all original, with no patina and only light signs of aging to the markers and lum, although the original lum no longer works.
Housing a 20 jeweled Seiko in-house 6139 column wheel automatic movement, this movement was in the race to becoming the first automatic chronograph (along with the Heuer Calibre 11 and the Zenith El primero). All three movements lay claim to being the first and it is often disputed which one actually was the first. This particular 6139 is in great shape, recently having a full strp and clean, the watch keeps very good time, the functions all work smoothly, (as they should with a column wheel movement) and everything sets and runs as it should.
The bracelet fitted is the original Seiko bracelet and clasp, but it has stretched and is a little floppy, but don't worry as the watch will be sold with a matching 20mm Condor black leather strap, just incase you want to swap the straps over.
